Sewer Authority Notice


At the special meeting on Monday, November 23, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., at the Borough Building, Hastings Borough, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, the Hastings Area Sewer Authority will conduct general business and will consider and vote on accepting, awarding and approving interim, short-term funding to finance costs related to the design and eventual construction of improvements, to the Authority’s public sanitary sewer system in anticipation of long-term loan and funding from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority, or other long-term financing.

Cleaning/Rental Coordinator Job Opening

Job Opening:

We have an opening for cleaning/rental coordinator at the Hastings Memorial Building. This person DOES NOT have to fire the furnace. But, will be responsible for cleaning the building & coordinating rentals. This is a 10-12 hour per week position. All applicants can send their resume & cover letter to: Hastings Borough, PO Box 559, Hastings PA 16646 or drop off at the Borough office. Deadline is October 31st.

Many crafters/vendors, hot food items, bake sale items, basket auction & youth group performances throughout the day!!

If you would like to donate a basket they can be dropped off at the Hastings Borough Office M-F 8AM to 4PM.  Or on Friday, November 20 from 6PM to 8PM at the Hastings Memorial Building.

Saturday, October 24: Basket Auction/Bake Sale to benefit the Hastings Borough Children’s Holiday Committee from 11AM to 4PM at the Hastings Memorial Building.  If you wish to donate a basket or bake sale item please contact Dana Kopera at 814-330-2799 or Jessica Coover at 814-937-0419.  Items can be dropped off at the Memorial Building from 10AM to 11AM on October 24.

Sunday, October 25: Hastings Halloween Parade & Trick or Treat.  Lineup will begin at 1:15PM.  Judging will be promptly at 1:30PM & the parade will begin at 2PM.  Trick or Treat immediately follows the parade & will end at 6PM.

Tobacco-free Parks & Playgrounds Ordinance No. 2015-2

Hastings Borough has adopted a Tobacco-free Parks & Playgrounds ordinance that goes in effect June 2, 2015. 

Designated Tobacco-free Areas: That areas of parks & playgrounds where children are present including:  Hastings Park, 4 pavilions at Hastings Park, Hastings Swimming Pool, Hastings Park Ball Field, Hastings Vets Field, Hastings Ball fields, & Hastings Tennis Courts in the municipality of Hastings Borough.  Young Lungs at Play signs will be posted delineating the tobacco-free areas.

Enforcement: Each person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be fined $100 plus court costs.

Get your discounted pool passes before opening day on Saturday, May 23!! Stop in the borough office to get them!

Discounted rates are $90 for a family including sitter(s), $30 for a single, $40 for single with sitter

Regular rates go in effect May 23 & they will be $100 for a family including sitter(s), $40 for a single, $50 for a single with a sitter

Daily Rate will be: $3.50 per person. Kids under 2 are free. Adults 65 & older $2.

New this season will be a diving board & handicap/fixed up bathrooms

And, on May 25 there will be free admission for everyone with a ticket for a free hot dog, drink, & bag of chips

Tentative Pool Hours this season will be:
Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat 1PM to 6PM
Tues/Thursday 1PM to 8PM
